Ah, Major Silver.

Props to you if you know what the title is talking about.  Chances are you don't, so I'll give you a hint.  Major is a rank in the military.  REALLY? NO WAY!

Anyway.  I figure I should blog at LEAST once a month.

I don't know.  I'm actually feeling inclined to like, type...a lot.  Well not a lot, it's kind of late, and I should probably sleep and all that, but...I just feel like I should type.  Or, relate some kind of story.  Something...something...I don't know.

So what's new?  Not much, really.  Same old thing, doing this, doing that.  Life's all generally the same.

So why am I typing out this blog?  You know, I don't really know.  I don't even know who actually reads this now.  What with everyone having their own lives and being busy with kids or school or jobs or whatever.  And...it makes me kind of sad, because I miss the good old days I used to have with everyone.  Not just a specific time or anything but the times when I would associate with these people and we'd laugh and have fun and...just...share the emotion.  It didn't necessarily have to be good ones.

But where is that now?  One of my friends used to tell me that I was sooooooooo good with keeping in touch with people but I never felt that way.  It always felt like I was always losing touch with everyone.  And maybe that has to do with me, losing touch with myself.  Here I am, in the dark of night, typing away at a blog that no one might ever read.  Living a rather...mundane life.  Where's the joy?  Where's the accomplishment?  Where's the...sense of satisfaction.  I know that I have to go and make these things out for myself but...I can't.  It's just...how it is.  And somewhere deep down, I've accepted for myself that I can't do these things.  Maybe I dwell on the past too much.  Maybe I'm too worried about the future.  Maybe I don't make enough change in my life.  MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE.

I wish I had someone to talk to.  When I say someone, I mean someone I can ACTUALLY talk to.  Like, I can tell them anything, they can tell me anything, la di da...yeah.  Anytime of the year.  You know?  I guess you don't.  That's okay.  No one does.

Ah, failed experiments.

I FAILEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDdddddddddddddd. =(

So much for blogging every day.  Sigh.

Friday was really busy.  Like super crazy busy.  And every Friday is going to be super busy for me.  Cuz like, Sia's not working anymore so I'll be by myself.  She's like my BACKBONE yo.  Well, I mean she's not going to be working on Fridays anymore.

And then I woke up on Saturday and I was like SHOOT I FORGOT TO BLOG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

And then yeah.  Here I am reporting my FAILURE.

I'm hungry.  Pew pew.  I'm sorry readers! =(

Ah, Day 3.

Well, despite it being 4 in the morning and me needing to go to sleep right now because I have work in a couple hours, I'm actually attempting to keep up with this daily blog experiment thing instead of using sleep and work as an excuse.

Oh, there's some irony in there somewhere.

I remember I had some things to say, but now I don't really remember what they were.  Let's just briefly recap the day since I'm trying to speed through this because I need to sleep and all, what with it being 4 in the morning and everything.  Let's see.

1) Don't remember my dream.
2) Woke up, went to work.
3) Sia and Yuma worked today.  It was slow.  Busy, but slow.  It rained.  Someone wanted peanut butter.  Gloria came in and ate with her family.  I don't know why I'm randomly detailing these things that no one on my blog would even know what I'm talking about.
4) I came home and had a cheeseburger.

Okay, so uhm.  Yeah.  Pretty exciting, ey.  AHHH MY EYE SOMETHING'S IN IT BUT NOT REALLY.

Man, tomorrow's friday.  OH I REMEMBER WHAT I WAS GOING TO TALK ABOUT.  So like there's this coca cola commercial in Hawaii that goes, "It's Aloha Friday, no work till Monday, adoobedoo, doobedoobedoobedoobedoo."  Yes, it's a song.  Let's see if it's on youtube.
SO IT IS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYxnXMYHMPY

Yay.  Okay, this took like ten minutes.  Jeez I'm slow.  Really slow.  Okay it actually took like five minutes because I really started this post at like 4:03.  Or something.  I DUNNO WHY AM I STILL UP HOMAGAWSH IT'S ALOHA FRIDAY NO WORK TILL MONDAY WOOOOOO~

Ah, Day Two?

So, here's day two of our lovely experiment.  I'm actually keeping up with it?  Maybe that's a good sign.

SO, last night I had a dream that I went to Toronto lawlz.  Well, it wasn't necessarily that I went to Toronto so much as I met people that I know who live in Toronto, because I obviously have never been to Toronto so I wouldn't know what it was like.  And you know, I said to myself I'd remember all the details, because it was a really long dream and there was much more to it than just going to "Toronto" like international espionage and car chases and the like!  My dreams are kind of exciting, dontcha know.

Anyway!  I went to Toronto and met some people I knew and it was nice.  We just hung out and swung on swings and kind of hung out at this playground?  And it was like nighttime, and snowy but not actually snowing, so we had on like winter-wear, but not like really thick winter-wear.

K so like I woke up.

And then I chatted with Anna!  Who is a friend from Toronto.  GO FIGURE?  Haha.  Congrats to her for her new job.  Yay.

And then I went to work.  Oh goodie.  Work was slow when I got in, as it usually is, but of course I guess I bring the crowds in droves.  Sia and Philip worked today.  It was all gee, cept when Sia had to leave early to help her mom out with her flower shop, and then Philip left at 3, leaving poor old me to deal with people wanting to buy their bubble-teas and order their soups and what not.  Which meant a lot of running around for me back and forth from the kitchen to the front to all over the place.  It was quite busy for the whole day.  I got about 20 seconds of completely customer free-time.

Yawn.  Oh, it didn't snow at all today.  It rained super hard the whole day.  It got sunny at around 6:30 or so.

Anyway, after work I went to Jack in the Box, and I got yummy Jack in the Box type food, and I ate it.  Yum.

In other news, I bought a DVD burner.  And Rock Band 2!  Fun times.  I also changed my computer wallpaper, played a game of DotA, watched part 2 of Samurai Girl, drank some coffee, uhm.  Yeah.

You know, I think this post is a lot more interesting than my last post.  I guess we'll see how day three turns out, ey?

Ah, snow in May!

Okay, so I was looking at the news and it said it might snow tomorrow.  I think they were lying to me.

BUT ANYWAY.

Hello, my wonderful audience, those of which are still there and I never keep entertained because I never blog, like ever.  Today, I approach you with something a little different.  I'm going to try an EXPERIMENT.

So this morning/last night I thought to myself, 'You know, I have this blog, but I don't really blog that much."  And then I thought about it somewhere and it was like, what do I have to blog about?  My friend, she blogs like every day, and she's got these huge long stories about what she's been doing every day, and it's like...I don't know, some epic adventure?  But these are just like every day things, like going to the store to get some groceries or meeting up with some friends or whatever.  But I guess she's gotten into the habit of blogging all these little details that she's just gotten used to it.

And so, my faithful readers, I present my experiment.  For one week I'm going to attempt to blog.  Every day.  All the little details that I can cram.  Or...something like that.  I'm going to try.  And I hope this presents an interesting perspective for you and me and...we'll see what happens from there.  So to those of you who are still there, let's give this a try!

So yesterday I was REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY tired.  Well, the night before yesterday.  So I went to bed early and got like 12 hours of sleep.  Yay.  And then I woke up.

PSE (the electric company) was supposed to cut our power at like 9ish but they didn't.  So I watched some new episodes of American Dad, Family Guy, and The Simpsons (all on Hulu!).  Then I hopped back into bed and slept some more.  PSE cut off our power at like 11.  I decided it was around then that I should head off to work.  And so I did!  I walked to work.  It was faster than normal.  I thought about getting some Jack in the Box.  Mm, Jack in the Box.

I think I will get some Jack in the Box.  Like, tomorrow.  Mm, Jack in the Box.

Anyway, so I got to work.  Things seemed pretty slow.  Sia and Yuma were working today.  Things went fine, I guess.  Just drama as usual.  Today was kind of busier than usual.

I can't really recall anything special that happened.

Then I came home.  Watched Samurai Girl!  Played a game of DotA.  Drank some water.  I DUNNO.  MAN THIS IS TOUGH.

Gee.  Well, hopefully tomorrow I'll...come up with a better format for this or something.  We'll see.  And thanks, to those of you who read about my absolutely average day.

I leave you with this!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWRyj5cHIQA

Ah, $20 tips.

I continuously thought to myself, gee, I need to post a new blog, but to no avail! And new stories continued to pop themselves into my life, and I was like, well gee, I need to blog about that too! But I kept forgetting. Or, putting it aside. Because I'm lazy like that. BUT NO MORE.

So $20 tip? All me? YAYUH. I mean, you know, I can consistently get like anywhere between the $5-10 range on tips now, but I gots me a $20 tip! From a normal group of people!

You know, in retrospect, it doesn't sound all that impressive, I guess. By normal I mean 3. I mean, when you think about it, a 10% tip for say, an $8 meal is like, $1, and 15% is like $1.50, which is normally what most people tip. And so if we do the math, then 3 people is like $24 which means they tipped a whole like, 80%! WOWZERS. Except, that's not all they bought. Anyways, yes. I am awesome.

So, in other news, CHEESECAKE.

Following that, we had a customer today, and she looked EXACTLY like my friend. Named Ellen. Who doesn't read this blog, but I'm sure I'll tell her about it and we'll have a good laugh about it.

Wut else.

I guess that's all.

Ah, licenses.

I gots me a license. =O

Okay, 'nuff of that nonsense. What else.

Uhm. I dunno. I saw the American version of My Sassy Girl, and it was good enough that I'd actually come on here and type out that it was good enough for me to come on here to type out. Fun times. Movie reviews? Oh noez! Well too bad, you're getting one. So, while it might lack the "sass" of the original, that's completely understandable. The original movie was targeted at a Korean audience, and as such, scenes like meeting the thugs in jail or getting beat up by the parents and what not make total sense, and are very funny. But if we try to translate that into an American flick, it wouldn't work out because the mentality is different. So how do we do it? We keep the premise the same, but we change the situations they interact in, but lead it towards the same basic conclusion. Did it work? Yes, yes it did.

Similarly, the American remake of Il Mare (The Lakehouse, as we all have come to know it) was terrible. Well, no. That's not true. I liked the movie, but they CHANGED THE ENDING. And that totally, totally ruined it for me. I saw it coming too. Sigh. This would be a good example of an American remake of a Korean film that did not work. They changed too much, and in doing so they create a movie that works "decently" on its own, but to people who have seen the Korean one and are expecting who knows what from the American one, well, they'll be disappointed. On the other hand, I could take the approach that they're two separate movies, and I shouldn't be comparing them to one another, but everyone does that anyway.

But speaking from a POV of a "How good is this movie based on no prior knowledge of anything else?" I'd still say the ending would have been better if they kept it the same as the original. I put it this way because I wouldn't want to ruin it for people who have not yet seen it. I could say,

But with My Sassy Girl, well, the core elements are there. We have a girl who bosses this nice guy around, and he likes her. Etc. etc. Good stuff. Very cute. And speaking from a "Let's not compare movies?" POV, it's very good. I liked it.

Okay, okay, enough of that.

Uhm. I guess that's all. There's work tomorrow. Oh work. How fickle you are.

Actually, I guess there's more. To life. My life, I mean. I'm getting that urge to move. I've got it in my head that maybe I don't like sticking to one place for so long. Maybe it'd be nice to move to a new area, see who I meet, where I can get a job at, that kind of thing. Where the wind takes me. Maybe Washington isn't my kind of place.

THEN AGAIN, who'm I to say where I can and cannot live. I suppose I'll have to stick around here for a bit after all.

Ah, parallels continued, blindboxes, and more!

So, it's been awhile since I posted.  And I guess I have to make this quick, and not as long as I had originally hoped, because it's somewhat late, and I should probably sleep.

So parallels.  What is a parallel?  Two lines that never cross.  And me in the middle!  I find myself in this situation a lot.  I guess it comes with having the friends that I have.  Of course, they're all really great, really awesome friends.  But I have friends who will never ever meet, and  you know, it's weird.  Some people I know are going through a lot of trouble, and some people I know are going through really happy moments in their lives.  It's kind of hard for me to figure out where I fit in.  Should I feel happy?  Should I feel sad?  I don't really know.  I guess that's life.

In other news, I have a new addiction.  Blindboxes!  Yay!  Long story short, it's a little box with a figurine inside, but you don't know what figure you're getting because all the boxes are the same.  Thus, blindbox.  And so I've been buying them, well not really, I only have four, but I will buy them more often.  Tee hee.  They're cute.  I'll leave the story of how I discovered them for another time, since time is short.

Toronto?  I told my mom about Toronto.  She's kinda...iffy about it.  She hasn't said no.  She said no when I said July.  Then she changed her mind to, we'll talk about it.  So actually, I don't really know.  Most likely, she'll let me go.  So, there's that.  Hooray.

I want ice cream.  I haven't had a good opportunity to have ice cream for awhile.  I come home, I have e-mails to write and things to pay and all sorts of other things I end up wasting my time on and I just don't get the urge to get ice cream till later.

That and I have this urge to like, not eat things, primarily because food costs money.  And, yes, that sounds silly, but I don't really eat much.  And then I end up spending money on silly things.  But I don't really spend it on things.  Does that make any sense?  Like, I have this new blindbox addiction, but I haven't actually bought one for the last two weeks.  I just THINK about it a lot, and how when I get the chance, I'm going to buy some more.  Yeh.  But I don't REALLY do it.

Sigh.  Oh money, what a problem you are.  I remember when money didn't use to be a problem.  Ha.  Those were the days indeed.  Of course, those days I never spent money on myself either.  It was always for someone else.  I'd always treat, I'd always buy nice things for people, etc. etc.  It brings a smile to my face, actually, remembering all the little things I used to do.  And maybe the big things.  Actually, they were probably big things.  I don't know what kind of value people put on the things that I get for them.  I sometimes wonder about it, but at the same time...I don't really feel like asking would be a good thing.

I dunno, when I get something, I try to tailor it to the person I'm getting, you know?  I don't like getting gift cards or simple thank you notes, no siree.  A gift always has to be something that a person wants/needs/has value for.  Getting a gift card is like giving someone money that they can only spend at someplace.  It's like the lazy-man's gift.  Or something.  I don't know.  And price used to be no option.  NOW...well...I dunno.  I guess price still isn't an option, considering that I don't really spend money on myself...heh.  I'm a silly kid.

Oh look at me, pouring out all these problems.  And yet...I feel strangely satisfied with life.  Like everything is going to be okay.  Like tomorrow is going to be a good day, and I'm actually...looking forward to it.  But I know that's silly because I know when I wake up in the morning, I'll just go back to my old usual, charming depressed self.  I think it's more the fact that I'm just so USED to it now.  That I've given up hope, you know?

Back in the old days it was always...I had hope.  Hope that things would get better.  And maybe that's why I was always crushed, because the higher my hopes were, the harder they fell when things didn't get better.  But now, I've accepted that they won't get better.  And while I still hope, I don't hope as high.  And maybe that's why falling doesn't hurt as much.

Ah, parallels.

It's too late for me to be blogging. This is a reminder to myself to write a blog for the title parallels, cuz, yeah. Parallels yo. Tomorrow I'll get to it, probably.

Thursday, March 12, 2009

Ah, BD.

You know, I could acronym a million things and no one would ever know what I was talking about. Take today's title for example. BD? Is he talking about Blu-Ray Discs? Is he talking about backdooring? Is he talking about bouncing dragons? Is he talking about birth defects? Is he talking about baby drunks?

Okay, I was making most of that stuff up. But, you see what I mean?

So why BD? I'm sure I had a good reason. I do have a good reason. I doubt any of you, fellow readers, will know what that reason was. Maybe the more intuitive ones could figure it out. =)

Oh well. That's all I have to say about BD.

I notice that, by default (OH LOOK, BD! That's not what the BD in the title is. That was entirely by coincidence.) I'm quite the secretive person. My mom found out I got contacts/new glasses. She was...not entirely happy about the decision. Not like it was her decision to make, but...I mean, why go through the hassle of telling her if she's just going to get on my case about it anyway, right?

I guess, my mother and I have not had the closest of relationships, though...we...kinda sorta do? Ha. We depend on each other, but we don't...confide in each other. It's like...have you ever seen the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith? It's about two assassins who marry each other but they don't realize the other is an assassin? So it's kind of like that. We live together, we eat together, we talk about mundane things like this and that, and we depend on that "social normalcy" or whatever term it is that is required of families. But other than that, we live these secret double lives from each other. I mean, (and NO ONE MUST TELL THIS TO MY MOTHER PLEASE) she thinks I work every Saturday. I don't. I work some Saturdays. More often than not, I'm not working. So I'm free to do what I please on Saturdays. I come home, she assumes that I was working, etc. etc. Conversely, she does things that I'm not aware of. You know she gets angry about me staying up so late, and yet I find her up at four in the morning watching her soap operas. Kinda hypocritical, no?

Anyway. So that's why I didn't really tell her about the contacts. For those of you who were curious. You know who you are. It'd be nice if we could grab a coffee sometime by the way. Not Peet's Coffee, thank you very much.

As for today? Today was a crappy day. But let's leave that at that.

Monday, March 9, 2009

Ah, snowglobes.

So while at work today I looked outside and I saw a SNOWGLOBE.

To be more specific, it looked like I was inside a snowglobe. Tee hee!

To explain, it snowed a lot today. Like HUGE snowflakes. I heard it was seventeen inches in some places. More like seven closer to home, but yeh. And then the sun came out, and melted the snow faster than you could say THE SNOW IS MELTING.

Yes. And just like that, the snow was gone. Except for patches here and there.

I'm tired.

My mom found out about my contacts/new glasses. No comment there.

I miss the old days when I had someone to talk to. Sigh.

Saturday, March 7, 2009

Ah, BBCT.

No one is online right now that I feel I can properly SPIEL this too that would take a slight note of interest, so I'll blog about it instead so I don't explode over fanboyism. Well, it's not so much fanboyism as it's OMG THIS IS SO AWESOME WHY DIDN'T I TAKE AN INTEREST BEFORE?

Which, brings me to the title. What is BBCT, you ask? Well it must be pretty darn awesome if it brought me, and I'm not even supposed to be home right now, to blog, which I don't do very often anyway?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJmjVIXQrZE

Just three words. Oh. Ehm. Gee.

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Ah, new glasses.

So I got new glasses. They're spiffy, and yeah. That's about it.

I dunno. I'm tired. I want to sleep, but I also feel I should update, soooooo here it is.

You know, an old...well...I wouldn't say FRIEND, but...I guess she's a friend. Ha. Someone I haven't talked to for like, 11-12 years just contacted me and was like "Hey what's up?" And while, it's...cool...it's also kind of...surreal. I mean I have no doubt that it's her, but she was living in San Francisco. Like, when I was in San Francisco. How...coincidental is that?

Anyways...like whoa. Wake up call, or something.

So basically, I guess we're friends, even though I haven't talked to her in this really long period of time. Basically, as some of you may or may not know, I went to a private school for my elementary years. As such, my graduating 6th grade class was comprised of five students yes, FIVE (count em on one hand) students. I guess that's where I can attribute most of my quick intellect and/or hard workingness from. Har har. And yeah, despite our tiny class size, I didn't really...like...associate with...people. I guess that doesn't really make sense. How do I put it...

Back then, she (yes, a girl) was kind of violent. Though, not towards me. And we didn't really talk. Like it was "Oh hey" and stuff, but I mean, we didn't really talk. lol. I guess this is all kind of weird, thinking about sixth grade way back when. AND YOU KNOW? SHE LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME. Except more tan. At least, from what I can tell.

Gee. Now it's like, when I make a trip to San Fran, I have to go look her up, yeah? For old time's sake. Weirddddddddd. Though potentially cool, still very weirdddddd.

Anyway, there's a little history lesson for you, my faithful readers.

You know, blogging about this wasn't so bad. I think I might try to blog more often. Like, you know, more willingly-ish. Or something. I guess that's all. Time to sleep.

Thursday, February 26, 2009

Ah, Kiva, contacts, and so much more!

Whoa, it's been awhile since I last posted. And you know, I don't even know if anyone reads this. BUT THEN AGAIN, I NEVER POST. So I guess it's my fault, really.

Ah well. What's today, Wednesday? Jeez, time kinda flies. At least it's SNOWING. FUN TIMES.

So let's see.

You know what's been occupying a large portion of my time? TV shows. I mean it's like, I've got Lost, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dollhouse, Lie to Me, American Dad...how do I keep up with them all, you know?

And then I'm going to start two NEW shows. Although, they're short, so I don't think it really matters.

AND KAMEN RIDER KIVA. WOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Okay maybe that was unnecessary. Yes, I've been watching Kamen Rider Kiva. Since I assume you, my loyal readers, have never heard of/will watch this show, I'm pretty sure I can go into depth about the finale without worrying about spoiling anything for you. But in case you're anal about that sort of thing, I'll mark it. Or mark it so you can skip the whole thing altogether. I guess.

**SPOILERS ABOUND**
The Kamen Rider series is very popular in Japan. The basic premise is something akin to Power Rangers, but usually with only one hero, known as Kamen Rider. And like Power Rangers, there are different Kamen Riders. The latest (not as of this post) was known as Kamen Rider Kiva.

This show did something different straight from the bat. It was like watching TWO shows. We had the past, and the present. The present had the main characters, Kamen Rider Kiva (known as Wataru, for simplicity), and you know, etc. The past featured his father, and how everything came to be in the present. But it wasn't REVEALED entirely until like, the end. The time gap was 22 years, so it was like, they were revealing information in the past, and it answered questions that you saw in the present. It also answered past questions (things that occured in the "present" on previous episodes) and such. And so, this show caught my eye. I kept watching it.

BUT THEN IT TURNED INTO THIS DRAMA ROMANCE LOVE TRIANGLE EXTRAORDINAIRE. And I was like THIS IS A KIDS SHOW? HOLY CRAP. True, it's a kid's show. I mean, you've got your flashy transformation scenes, and the hero fighting monsters and whatever, but in an average episode? That "scene" is like, 1-3 minutes long. Literally. The entire episode focuses on like, the inter character drama and all that. And I was just in awe. Because it got better. INCREDIBLY CHEESY, but oh so good.

And so I've been busy lately, but I was able to watch the final five episodes tonight, and LET ME TELL YOU. LIKE WOW. Mio (the girl that Wataru falls in love with), is KILLED. BY WATARU HIMSELF. AND IT WAS LIKE WOW. Because Wataru's half brother Taiga intended to marry her and there was all this drama and Mio really loved Wataru and she wanted to kill Taiga because he was really the evil bad guy. AND THEN WATARU GOES BACK IN TIME TO TRY TO PREVENT HIS BIRTH TO SAVE MIO'S LIFE. But in doing so they incur the wrath of King from the past and oh my there's way too much to go over. And the way I'm describing it now makes it seem like some cheesy soap opera but whoa. For a kid's show? All this drama and romance and like, people dying and stuff? From something that's supposed to be like Power Rangers?

I'm sure you've seen Power Rangers. Evil villains are like, "We need to take over the world! Let's send a new monster!" And they do. Then the Power Rangers come out, save the day, and we learn a valuable life lesson.

Typical episode of Kamen Rider Kiva? Wataru can't fight Taiga because, after all, they're brothers. Taiga tells him he's weak, and tells him to come fight him again when he's sure to come at him with everything he's got (continuing the 3 minute fight scene from the previous episode.) Mio (the girl that both Wataru and Taiga are both in love with), continues to press Taiga into marriage. Taiga agrees, and they have the ceremony like, right away. This is where Mio stabs Taiga. In the stomach. She realizes then, that she can't go through with it, and runs away. Bishop tries to stop her, but Taiga tells him that Mio didn't do anything wrong, and that it was an accident. Meanwhile, something's up with Shima, the leader of the Aozora Organization. Nago, Megumi, and Wataru follow him to find out that Taiga turned him into a monster! But before they can do anything about it, Taiga KILLS HIM. Wataru goes into an angry rage and fights Taiga. Mio watches from a nearby hill and realizes she has mixed feelings and doesn't really want to kill Taiga. Pretty soon, Wataru gains the upper hand and is about to kill Taiga, but Mio jumps in the way saying NO. The episode ends with her death.

Oh, and that's only HALF the show. Because like I said, there's like, TWO shows going on. We've got the past story too, right? Nothing really happened in the past though. Maya (Taiga and Wataru's mother) and Yuri (Otoya's ex-girlfriend) saved Otoya (Wataru's father) from being killed by King (Taiga's father.)

Seriously. How much more epic is this? AND EVERY EPISODE IS LIKE THIS. In the next episode alone we find Bishop's fall from power when he revealed that he had a hand in Mio's death, how Otoya and Maya finally got together, Wataru and his father's fated meeting (because he died before he was born, which was shown later on), and etc. And of course short little fight at the end. Heh. But yeah. American Power Rangers, this is not.

**SPOILERS END**

Well, I finally finished that show. Good stuff. A new Kamen Rider called Kamen Rider Decade came out but I dunno if I'm going to watch it. I tried other Kamen Riders but it seems like they're more focused on the whole fighting monsters and stopping evil thing. Which is cool and all, but eh. I'm not really in the mood for action stuffs lately. Heartwarming dramas, that's the way to go.

Which reminds me, I'm going to suggest to each and every one of you to watch a movie called Happy Go Lucky. YES, it's rated R for language, but it's fast becoming quite possibly my favoritest movie of all time. It's a GOOD MOVIE. I went in expecting some romantic comedy but it was not, let me tell you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdjb98LOuEw Here's a trailer in case you're interested. But I recommend it. Really.

SOOOOOOOOO. HOW ABOUT SOME REAL NEWS?

I got contacts. =O

My mom doesn't know I got them. LoL. I don't know how I've been able to keep it from her, but she hasn't said anything, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't know that I have contacts. According to "everyone", I look really different. And it's true, I've always looked really different without my glasses. The only person I've ever actually had long conversations without my glasses with was Sarah, and she always said I looked better without them. So yeah. That's something new. Something new indeed.

I don't know when I'm going to break the news to my mother. I don't really know how to. Just like I don't know how to tell her I'm going to Toronto this summer. Ahahahaha.

Hoo boy. Fun times. Work's been work. It's late, I should go to sleep. Ah well, more news later. I covered the title already. WOO KIVA?

Ah, Cambodia.

So, it's another post. THOUGH, I don't really have much to post about, all things considered.

Quick note to myself, don't forget to shop at Sharper Image. And no, I'm not actually shopping at Sharper Image, but I'm leaving myself a coded message so I don't forget what I'm talking about/don't forget to do what it is that I'm supposed to do that I'm hiding from a certain person who could possibly be reading this right now but I'm not sure if they're reading this but I should probably try to hide anyway because they might be reading it.

It's late, and I'm tired. So Obama's our new president, ey. Well good for him. Dreams come true and all that.

My stuff is still being shipped in. Boy, I'm pretty late on Christmas presents. Good thing I don't really celebrate Christmas so really these are just like, presents that I get for people just in the spirit of getting presents for people. Hooray.

That and I'm waiting for my Sennheiser 555s. It said they were shipped, so they should be here soon. Good times.

Also for good news, I seem to be helping more people out than usual lately. I feel...good about this. That I'm able to fulfill requests and that sort of thing. For example, my boss's cousin who lives in Cambodia (ah, the title of this post! a connection!) wants a...penpal of sorts. And so she elected me. Yay me.

As for the bad news, well. I guess it's not really bad news, more like...just...well...I don't know. Like, can it really be considered bad news if it's the normal way of life? Like, let's say that every day at three o clock you KNOW that a bomb is going to blow up part of your house or something like that. And normally, that'd be like bad news. But if you already knew and it always happened all the time then it wouldn't really be bad news anymore. It'd just be like, Oh yeah, don't forget, bomb going off at three. Just like the sun rising. Or the birds singing. Or...whatever.

As for ME, well. I guess it's just been the same as it's always been. So there's really no "bad" news. Just..the same news. Heh. Though I guess I really can't expect things to change, what with me being in Washington and all and all I ever do is lounge around the house sleeping or eating or watching a movie or going to work and lounging around there.

I wonder if any of you know what I'm talking about without me actually telling you what I'm talking about. I wonder indeed. And I wonder how many of you are going to come to false assumptions! Ooh! I bet you all are going to come up with false assumptions. Sigh.

But...I can't really explain the missing part in my life. Well, I can, but it's complicated, and I don't think anyone really appreciates when I have these super long posts. Actually, I'm going to make a vote in my next post about that. We'll see then. But as for the missing part...it's...like I said. Something that will take awhile to explain. For lack of a better word, there is something missing.

Anyway. I guess I should sleep now. Ah, if only I could do that forever.

Ah, Sennheisers.

So I need new headphones. My old ones are broken. Well they still WORK, but taking them off is an annoyance and setting them down is an annoyance and yeah.

My mom also wants me to get her a set of headphones. Not that hers are broken, she just doesn't like them.

I have some shopping to do.

So I'm probably going to pick up another pair of Sennheisers for myself. I currently own 201s, and before that I had a pair of 580s. I'm thinking of picking up a pair of 280s, just because they're more easily obtainable and it seems that no one has anything bad to say about them. Well, nothing relevantly bad. We'll see!

I also have other things to buy. Like presents! Sigh.

And then there's life. I have to deal with that too. Aiyah.

I guess that's all for now.

Ah, holidays, 2008 style.

First post of the new year. Hooray.

So I was planning to update more. But I didn't really. I guess I got caught up with things. But that doesn't mean I haven't been reading YOUR blogs. You know, the people who read this. If they do read this. I can never tell.

Christmas Eve I spent 5 hours shoveling snow. When I came back into the house it was like 1:43 and I was like "Aha I just spent 5 hours shoveling snow." And yes, that's 1:43 AFTER MIDNIGHT. So I guess I spent REALLY REALLY early Christmas morning shoveling snow too. Gee that was...kind of tiring. And then it blizzarded right after. And the snow came back. And I gave up. The end!

New Years...well...I didn't really do much for New Years.

Well this holiday was fun.

Yep.

I guess that's all folks.

Ah, post #50

This, I do believe, is my 50th post. I mean I could be wrong, but who's counting anyway, right?

I thought I'd reach 50 a lot sooner, but I guess being lazy can put a dent in that road. That and other trials and tribulations. Ah well, but who reads this, right? I guess a few people do. Well, three anyway. =D

So I suppose I should make this post special in some way. Special, special. I'll tell you all an amusing story. I doubt any of you have heard this one.

When I was younger, one of the better treats I had in my life was going to the theater at Kahala Mall. (This was back in Hawaii, and Kahala Mall was this indoor mall with a theater that was fairly close to my house.)

And so on this particular weekend, Batman and Robin had just been released (the 4th Batman movie in a string of Batman movies that was spiraling downwards to horribleness. This was before the revitalization with Batman Begins) And being the Batman fan that I was, I wanted to see it. Duh? Of course, I wasn't all analytical with movies back then like I am now. Back then it was like BATMAN! YAY!

Of course, Con Air had also been released at the time. You know, starring Nicholas Cage about the convicts taking over the airplane and stuff? So we went to the theater and it was like, "Let's go see Batman!" and my mom was like "No, let's go see Con Air! I heard it was really good. My coworker said it was really good." And I was like ehhhhhhhhHHHH, cuz you know. Batman! Yay! My cousins were also with us, and they too wanted to watch Con Air. And my mom was like, "We can go see Batman next time, okay?" And I was like fine. But I knew she'd regret it somehow.

So we went to go see Con Air. Being the rated R movie that it was, there was like rape, and violence, and..you know, other rated R type stuff. Basically deranged convicts and other types of things that my mother in no way condones. Or likes watching. Ever.

After the movie I was like I KNEW I WE SHOULD'VE WATCHED BATMAN. HA.

Although I must admit, Con Air is definitely a better movie than Batman and Robin. But you know, I was only like 10 or 11 or so. I didn't know the difference.

I guess that's all for now. We're still kinda snowed in here. It's very pretty outside.

Ah, blizzards.

Yes, blizzards. It is blizzarding. Well not right now. It WAS blizzarding. There's snow everywhere. Except on the tree directly across from my window, across the street. How odd is that? It doesn't look like there's a single drop of snow on that tree. How extremely mysterious.

But the snow is quite deep. I believe it comes to over my ankle. Probably more. That's some deep snow. I don't have anyone to throw it at though. Sadness abounds.

And so I find that I have not one but TWO followers. This intrigues me. Although I am intrigued by who else might be reading but has not left a sign. If you're out there, let me know!

Though I doubt there's anyone left. So I guess it's just the three of us! Woo! Party time! Or Coffee Time! as Naomi puts it. Though I suppose with the audience I have, that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Just imagine a lot of flashy lights and people serving coffee and dancing and stuff. No? It's okay.

So I have three weeks off from my restaurant. I haven't really planned any trips or anything. I guess maybe I should have, but maybe I shouldn't have. I feel like I'm losing touch with the world and reality. No...I'm losing touch with...how to interact properly with people. It's something I feel I can't do right anymore. But more than that, perhaps it's also a feeling of...purposelessness. And no I don't need lectures on making my own purpose and all that. It's something deeper. Something that I can't solve right away. These things take time. I just wish that it'd go by faster.

And so with that, I will try to blog more for my limited audience. We'll see what I can come up with.

Ah, blogging habits.

I guess I just kind of fell out of the habit in blogging in this thing. Which begs the question, who still reads this?

Why don't you go ahead and drop me a comment if you still do. I'm curious.

Which also begs the question, why stop blogging?

Perhaps I wasn't strong enough to wait four years. Perhaps I'm not strong enough to wait a couple days. It doesn't matter though. In the end, the outcome is always the same.
